Artists
Bring some of their artwork to display around the
casket or urn. This would give others a chance to
view their art where otherwise they may never
have gotten the chance to see.
Collectors or Quilters
Bring their most treasured items they collected to
display or maybe an item they made themselves.
Maybe they were a quilter and instead of the
traditional pall on top of the casket display a quilt
or other personal creation.
Firefighters
Whether volunteer or paid, firefighters take pride in
keeping us safe in our community. Display their
uniform, badge, helmet or boots or even transport
the casket to the cemetery on the back of a firetruck.
Military
Did they serve in a branch of the Military? There are
many ways to honor those who served and give
back and show them the dignity and honor they
deserve.
Musicians
Display their instruments among the traditional
flowers sent by family and friends. If they were
a guitarist, place a basket by the register filled with
guitar picks for everyone to take in rememberance
of your loved one.
